Great Canadian is looking for a Senior HR Business Systems Analyst to join it’s Total Rewards and Human Resources (Shared Services) team.
As a member of the team, you will research and document requirements for analyzing data and make recommendations for efficient and effective business and system processes and reports, while translating business requirements into technical requirements and working with the ERP team to implement solutions within the HR Technology Infrastructure and will work with the Company’s HR and Operations teams, Total Rewards, Payroll and the Projects & Systems team to implement the Company’s HR Technology strategy and participate in HR Technology projects.
Key Accountabilities:
- Leads and supports Total Rewards and Human Resources initiatives including the implementation of new Collective Agreements, system upgrades and other projects as assigned
- Gathers requirements from internal stakeholders in order to translate business needs into project plans
- Performs advanced analysis of relevant data to proactively identify trends that present risks to organizational strategy or support strategic workforce planning
- Performs needs analysis and develops key company metrics and reports, strategizes methodology and document requirements
- Creates business processes and looks for new elements to help clarify or support decision making, with a focus on harmonizing business processes where possible
- Performs research, analysis on people and process information, interprets results, and makes recommendations based upon findings, with a focus on harmonizing business processes where possible
- May participate in system configuration activities, creates test cases, conducts testing and documents results
- Prepares business process documents, process flow and reference and user administration and end user training materials, may conduct end user training
- Runs queries and ad-hoc reports as needed, assists in development of standard reporting and analysis for ongoing business needs
- Collaborates and interacts with HR Shared Services, ERP and IT teams in routine operations as needed to resolve data issues with HR systems as required
Education and Qualification Requirements:
- Post-Secondary degree or technical certification in Human Resources, Business or Finance, with a focus on Technology, with a minimum of 8 years progressive experience supporting Human Resources and Human Resources technology processes, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel for data analysis and using large data sets
- Strong analytical skills, with experience interpreting and producing high quality, accurate management information
- Strong commitment to best practices in Human Resources, Payroll and Total Rewards
- Strong project management skills, ability to manage multiple projects and produce high quality results in a deadline driven environment
- Commitment to maintain high level of confidentiality
- Innovative with the ability to search for creative and effective solutions
- Proactive with the ability to invest time in upfront planning to intentionally achieve goals and objectives
- Accountable with a demonstrated ability to follow through on commitments and implement decisions that have been agreed upon
- Collaborative with a belief that working together with others will produce the best possible results
