Job Description

The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and facilitating the supply chain operations of the company. They will ensure that the distribution of the company’s products and services are smooth and efficient. As a part of the supply chain management team, this role will assist the Logistics manager with day-to-day operations, and transportation of goods across facilities. We need someone who likes rolling up their sleeves and making things happen, and loves continual learning!

Duties & Responsibilities Include but are not limited to:

• Perform requisition duties which include managing shipments and assisting clients with their orders
• Monitor shipment schedules and coordinate expected shipment timeframes with parties involved
• Evaluate and analyze risks involved in methods of transportation and delivery conditions
• Collaborate with the logistics team to optimize equipment and transportation pipelines
• Independently schedule and plan job tasks, problem solving various common supply chain problems
• Interpret and communicate shipping and receiving details to internal teams and clients
• Investigate and claim for incidents happened during material transportation
• Ensure the products are shipped and received in good conditions and timely manner

• Prepare reports and metrics as needed for management

Qualifications:

• You are proficient in Microsoft and Google Suite with abilities to effectively use email and workplace software
• You are tech-savvy and can quickly adapt to new technology in working environment
• You have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, and bilingualism is an asset
• You are self-driven and excel in both an independent and team environment without constant supervision
• You are a critical thinker and always observing your surrounding for opportunities to learn and grow
• Your attention to detail is exceptional, and you handle pressure well
• You are physically able to perform moving tasks up to 50 pounds in weight (preferred)

Education and experience

• A valid class 5 driver license (required)
• Post-secondary education/Bachelor’s Degree (required) (Preferred: major in operations management, supply chain management, or engineering)
• 1 year of supply-chain related experience (preferred)
• Basic knowledge of International Shipping would be an asset
