We are seeking a professional with strong administrations skills in IBM integration product suites – IBM Integration Bus (IIB), IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE), IBM MQ and IBM Cloud Pak for Integration (CP4I). The candidate would work on major transformation program(s) where the client is migrating to latest versions of the integration products and starting the journey to adopt a container-based and hybrid cloud environment. The candidate would work either directly with the client’s environment operations team or be part of an IBM team for a major implementation/migration initiative.
Your responsibilities will include:

Maintain administration activities for existing ESB platform consisting of IIB, ACE, MQ and CP4I environments
-
Work closely with different operations groups – server admin, networking, security etc. to establish or maintain standard operating procedures for ESB platform
-
Provide support for different lower environments being used by in-flights projects
-
Support administration responsibilities for the PROD environments to ensure stability and availability
-
Participate in environment management planning for new projects
-
Create product upgrade plans, determine the best migration path, define execution process and system configuration activities
-
Carry out environment build and configuration responsibilities
-
Support application project teams during implementation, testing and cutover stages
Must be located in Calgary or willing to relocate to Calgary

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
-
4+ years of system administration experience in IBM integration products – IIB, ACE, MQ
-
Experience in Installing, configuration, deployment, troubleshooting, security configuration, failover, workload management of enterprise applications on MQ, IIB and ACE.

Experience in setting up MQ clusters, configuring MQ channels, local/remote/dead letter queues, pub-sub configurations, and upgrade activities
-
Strong knowledge of Shell scripting, SOAP, REST, XML, XSD, JSON, YAML
-
Knowledge on DevOps pipeline, CI/CD process and at least one automation tool such as Jenkins or UrbanCode
-
Knowledge on Linux/UNIX and Windows operating systems
-
Good understanding on certificate management, TLS profiles, keystore/trustore management
-
2+ years of experience in supporting production environment for IIB/ACE, MQ
-
Understanding of containers and Kubernetes
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

IBM Certifications on IIB/ACE, MQ administration

Professional certifications on Containers, Kubernetes

Experience with IBM CP4I install, configure and administration

Experience with Red Hat OpenShift platform
