Requirements:

• Excellent English Communication Skills (oral and written)

• Good leadership and organizational skills • 5 years minimum related experience in a supervisory or lead hand role in a manufacturing environment (preferably metal stamping)

• A Valid Forklift License is a must and First Aid training is desirable

• Grade 12 education or equivalent

• Flexibility to work overtime as required

• Ability to enforce safe working habits and ensure compliance with OHSA

• Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills

• Proven superior knowledge of all presses and assembly equipment and their related jobs

• Knowledge of customer quality expectations and QA inspection procedures

Responsibilities:

• Ensure that all duties and tasks are carried out in a safe and efficient manner

• Oversee production staff and instruct operators in the timely set-up of all dies, adjustment, and maintenance of all related equipment

• Ensure consistent application of production and quality standards

• Ensure that production requirements are met from a timing and quantity point of view

• Ensure that all quality parameters are met

• Interface with Toolroom and Maintenance to decrease press downtime

• Ensure that all work areas are clean and hazard-free

• Identify, deliver, and/or arrange on-the-job training, including safety training for staff as required

• Ensure that all press set-ups are done in a safe manner and that the Operator’s safety is never at risk

• Any other reasonable request or task as asked by Management
