As a Senior Proposal Manager, you will support the growth of our People & Places Solutions line of business by leading some of the most impactful pursuits in the Americas and Canada Sales Operations Center (SOC) portfolio. Location is flexible, as the candidates can be located anywhere in Western Canada (Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, Winnipeg, Victoria, Saskatoon, Regina, Kelowna, Abbotsford–Mission, Lethbridge) and will work virtually on Sales Opportunities.
Your primary responsibility will be to manage diverse pursuit teams in the development of high-quality, opportunity-specific response proposals with competitive and compelling sales messages to satisfy client business goals. The Senior Proposal Manager, in partnership with our Client Account Manager, Client Account Partner, and Operations Leaders, positions us to win work by supporting Middle Game (pre-positioning) and driving End Game (proposal process).
Our Senior Proposal Managers are responsible for the following general activities:
Independently lead the coordination and preparation of proposals of all sizes
Lead and/or support planning and development of presentations and interviews of all sizes
Provide heavy support to and/or take ownership of proposal sections of major strategic pursuits
With no supervision, coordinate, write, edit/tailor, and perform research for non-technical proposal sections; ensure compliance; proactively identify, communicate, and mitigate potential issues/variances
Lead proposal kick-off meetings and other milestone meetings
Understand business objectives, priorities, and sales strategy, especially as they relate to the proposal process
Serve as a subject matter expert on, advocate, and actively follow SOC procedures, policies, protocols, and best practices, including standard file management and archiving procedures, as well as Branding Guidelines
May act as a group resource and trainer for SOC best practices, policies, and procedures
Coach, mentor, and/or provide pursuit oversight to junior staff within SOC

Here’s What You’ll Need:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in marketing, journalism, engineering, construction, or other similar field related to our industry preferred, but not required
At least 10 years of relevant experience within the AEC industry
Strong capability in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Creative Suite
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Advanced organization and leadership skills to manage challenging opportunities
Ability to prioritize and communicate what is most important for the success of the business
