Business Development Manager – Industrial
Saskatoon, SK
Our client is a quickly expanding Industrial Distributor who is looking for a Business Development Manager for Northern Saskatchewan. This individual will be responsible for revenue and profit growth of programs and services in targeted accounts. The main goal of the Business Development Manager will be to motivate, educate, and support their Sales Team in reaching their targets. You will be responsible for the growth in new and existing accounts, and bringing new ideas to drive future expansion.
Responsibilities
- Set sales goals, compare performance to goals, and adjust goals as needed
- Assess current processes and procedures, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement them
- Provide detailed and accurate sales forecasts
- Initiative to prospect for new business with a track-record of success managing a key account book of business
- Possess the people-skills to build relationships within the industry – networking is important
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to support demand and problem solve in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications
- 3+ years of Industrial sales experiences
- Results-oriented with strong analytical skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing market that mandates urgency and adjusting
- Previous experience creating, developing and executing sales plans that involve budgeting and goal setting
- Ability to communicate, present at an exceptional level – both written and verbal
- Excellent time and organizational skills – ability to juggle multiple ‘to do list’ items
- Understanding of CRM systems and best practices
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
