Our client is in search of a Warehouse Manager to join their team in the Greater Toronto Area in Ontario. In this role, you will ensure the efficient and secure flow of raw materials and finished products, contributing to the overall success of the operations. Responsibilities include achieving operating targets related to inventory accuracy, customer service, budget adherence, and employee engagement. The successful candidate will lead the effective operation of multiple sites and third-party warehouses, ensuring timely handling, storage, and transportation while prioritizing safety and compliance with food safety practices.
What you will be doing:
- Lead the implementation of the Warehouse Management System.
- Monitor and communicate warehouse KPIs.
- Cultivate and uphold effective inventory management practices.
- Ensure precise and timely execution of ERP transactions.
- Direct physical inventory counts and continuous cycle counting activities.
- Manage and optimize relationships with third-party partners.
- Ensure adherence to Health and Safety, SQF, and GMP requirements.
- Foster a positive work environment, emphasizing continual teamwork enhancement.
- Supervise a team through daily warehouse activities.
- Exemplify company values and facilitate team members’ development through effective training.
- Collaborate with cross-functional peers to guarantee smooth material flow.
- Schedule direct reports based on production needs and manage time & attendance.
- Engage in assigned special projects.
The experience you bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (business, supply chain, etc.).
- 3+ years of progressive warehouse management experience.
- Familiarity with fast-moving consumer packaged goods is advantageous.
- Exceptional people leadership and development capabilities.
- Proficiency in effective verbal and written communication.
- Skilled in utilizing MS Office tools.
- Knowledge of ERP Systems
- Robust understanding of Warehouse Management Systems.
- Adaptable to varied shifts, including occasional weekends.
