Responsibilities:
Spearhead recruitment efforts for multiple divisions along side the Recruitment Coordinator.
Create write up’s & facilitate employees disciplinary meetings.
Ensures monitoring and planning with Managers to coach and discipline employees (if applicable) throughout the investigation process; hearing employee grievances, conducting a fair and thorough investigation, and counseling employees.
Help develop and grow our HRIS system.
Ensures legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable legislation in regard to policies and procedures, disciplines, terminations, leave of absences, return to work requirements and job accommodations.
Enforces division or company wide guidelines by preparing, updating, and recommending policies and procedures.
Develop and monitor overall HR strategies, systems, tactics, and procedures across the company.
Draft letters to employees required by Human Resources (i.e LOE, Termination and Layoff notices).
Maintain accuracy in employees required by Human Resources (i.e. LOW, Termination and layoff notices).
Work with Managers and the Health & Safety department to help create programs and procedures.
Aid the Health & Safety department to facilitate all WSIB related claims/documentation.
Create job descriptions & job postings.
Conduct interviews and create job postings.
Prepare employees for assignments by establishing and conducting orientation.
Arrange and partake in Career Fairs and marketing opportunities with local Colleges & University.
Liaise with staffing agencies- negotiate rates/fees.

Qualifications:
Post-secondary study of Human Resources (University or College level)
1-2 years experience in a similar role
Ability to prioritize and multitask
Strong interpersonal communication skills
Experience in an industrial environment would be considered an asset
