Now Hiring: Marketing Strategist and Account Manager
The Marketing Strategist and Account Manager will serve as the lead point of contact for their client accounts, and is responsible for the timely and successful delivery of our marketing strategies. With outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, they must develop a comprehensive understanding of each clients’ business model and value proposition, and be hands-on in creating pathways for our clients to connect with their consumers and dream commercialisation opportunities. Our clients are unique. As luxury operators with small, select clientele at the highest end of the market, we conduct highly targeted, sophisticated lead-gen campaigns to secure their ideal clients. Part sleuth, part strategist, part communicator, our Strategists are pretty special people.
Day-to-day responsibilities include:
Responsible for the timely and successful delivery of our marketing strategies
Manage the end-to-end delivery of marketing projects and campaigns, working closely with internal team members across PR, graphic design, copywriting, and digital teams as relevant
Serve as the lead point of contact for all customer account management matters; build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships – including regular communications through Slack, email, and Zoom meetings
Work closely with the Head of Marketing Strategy to innovate and optimise strategies on an ongoing basis
Keep key internal and external stakeholders abreast of key developments to client strategies
Forecast and track key account metrics (according to individual client strategies); prepare regular reports on account status for client and internal stakeholders
Identify new business and commercialisation opportunities and/or identify areas of improvement to meet strategic objectives
Hands on execution of hypertargeting strategies to connect our clients to their ideal clients and commercialisation opportunities. This includes but it not limited to:
Monitoring media, social media, and conducting research into avenues to find opportunities for our clients
Research and identification of client prospects; crafting pitches and writing compelling copy for outreach
Work with the client and our team to convert those opportunities
Develop, manage, and optimise joint venture opportunities on behalf of clients
Develop, manage, optimise media speaking and influencer campaigns, working closely with our publicists
Other projects & duties as assigned
Lead the strategic direction for Public Relations initiatives on behalf on clients, including:
Determine ideal media targets based on client objectives
Determine pitch topics and media angles
Reviewing and approve pitches drafted by publicists and monitor/evaluate results
Advise clients how best to leverage media
Reporting
Qualifications / Experience
5+ years experience in marketing and/or campaign management roles across B2B and B2C
Experience overseeing or managing a publicist or PR agency
Experience with Cision is not required but a bonus
2+ years experience in client-facing roles, across agency/franchise/similar background
Experience running campaigns across both digital and traditional marketing channels; experience in influencer marketing strategies is highly desirable
Solid understanding of measuring, benchmarking, and qualitative analysis for campaigns, websites, SEO, and other digital and social methods and metrics
Demonstrated experience in external supplier management and negotiations
High level of creativity and problem solving ability
Highly organised, with ability to prioritise and multitask in a fast-paced work environment; must be comfortable with ambiguity and taking ownership without being asked
High attention to detail and excellent written & verbal communication skills
A self-starter and works well either in teams or autonomously
Tertiary qualifications in marketing, public relations, communications, or similar
