We are hiring for a Continuous Improvement intern.
What will do you do?
Evaluate PLC and control systems for accuracy and improvement opportunities.
Analyze data outputs from control systems and drive data-based decision making.
Evaluates manufacturing processes through investigations of issues; applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials; conferring with equipment vendors; soliciting observations from operators.
Facilitate waste reduction and efficiency improvements using QCO, EP, Standard Work and PPS techniques.
Supports operations through facilitation of Continual Improvement projects, sustaining, improving, and streamlining overall processes within the organization.
Oversee the upkeep of industry 4.0 systems, standards, and documents.
Utilizes root cause analysis system that focuses on team problem solving to resolve issues identified in design or manufacturing and supports execution of corrective actions.
Support department management in identification of key success drivers and execution of improvement objectives.
Assists in the training of SME’s in the facility.
What will you bring?
Knowledge and thorough understanding of sensors, PLC, and control systems required.
CAD and modelling experience an asset.
Data analysis skills such as advanced excel, power bi, and SQL are considered an asset.
Problem solving skills and attention to detail.
High degree of initiative and motivation and willingness to work proactively, either independently or within a team
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal. Experience gathering and accurately recording test data. Working knowledge of MS Word & MS Excel.
