Reporting to the Sr. Manager, FP& A, McKesson Specialty Health, the Sr. Financial Analyst, is responsible to ensure monthly tasks done accurately and on time. Tasks includes financial statement preparation, the production of various analysis and schedules, budgets and forecasts. In addition, this position will be expected to take on project roles for other financial related business initiatives within the business.
Other responsibilities generally associated with Financial Analyst positions are described in Section B. The duties and responsibilities of the above-mentioned position include, without being limited to, the following:
Prepare and analyzes the financial statements and other key reports for pre-close and budget.
Ensure data integrity and accuracy
Produce the financial statements and detailed ad-hoc financial reports (Monthly and quarterly schedules.
Responsible to produce and explain departmental expenses.
Monitor variances or expenditures against forecast and budget, identify budget overspend, highlight issues, and impacts.
Improve processes and drive efficiency.
Liaison with head office to ensure that all transactions are captured properly in our SAP system.
Responsible for ad hoc financial reports.
Communicate with internal and external business partners to resolve pending issues and facilitate a positive working relationship, optimize current processes and reduce defects.
Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities across the assigned process and other duties as assigned by Management
Provide adhoc support during internal and external audit reviews.
Lead, coach and guide the business users to achieve desired business results.
Develop individual development plans for team members to close any competency gaps.
Bachelor degree of Commerce with a major in Finance or Accounting. Must have a CPA designation
Minimum 2-5 years of experience in business unit accounting;
Extensive knowledge of SAP or other major ERP
Excellent problem solving and organizational skills; ability to prioritize workload
Ability to work in a fast paced changing environment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong knowledge of MS Office suite, Word, PowerPoint with a proficiency in Excel
Willing to perform other jobs as required by organizational demands
Must be able to work effectively in a team-based collaborative environment
Strong attention to detail
Must be determined and flexible with a positive outlook
Demonstrates ownership of assigned responsibilities with a confident, independent and determined attitude.
Strict, disciplined approach to work which includes outstanding process awareness and respect for procedures at all times

This is determined by several factors, including performance, experience and skills, equity, regular job market evaluations, and geographical markets. In addition to base pay, other compensation, such as an annual bonus or long-term incentive opportunities may be offered.
