Transportation Safet & HR Coordinator Duty list
HR
· Take office attendance daily and shop attendance after every pay period. Provide shop with new punch sheet every month.
· Respond to e-mails, phone calls, and visitor inquiries
· Perform all administrative functions including filing and sorting documents
· Administration of electronic software and files
· Ensuring that sheet levels in the shop are adequate and printing more if necessary
· Entering all paper logs into the company software (monthly)
· Download e-log of permit employees and enter into corresponding worksheet
· Recruiting office, driver, and mechanic personnel
· Onboarding new employees and providing them with company materials
· Inputting new employee information into the software and updating the information of current employees.
· Enrolling eligible employees into the group benefits plan and cancel their benefits when they leave
· Organizing the decals, documents and stickers for new trucks and trailers
· Enable DEF on drivers’ card if they couldn’t fill up in the yard
· Check expiry alters for expiring licenses, passports, or work permits
· Setting up, maintaining, and training drivers to use ELDs
· Maintaining positive employee relations and responding to all issues of conflict
· Writing and signing job letters
Safety
· Inputting all mechanic sheets into the company software (daily)
· Review mechanics sheets to ensure mechanic efficiency
· Respond to maintenance related issues and advise on proper course of action
· Ensuring that safeties are renewed before the expiry date. No equipment can be on the road with an expired safety
· Ensuring that all cab documents are up to date
· Keep up to date with Hours of Service and QTRACS on Omnitracs
· Writing conduct reports as applicable
· Management of MPI, WCB, FMCSA, RCMP, and other claims or fines
· Documenting and writing reports of all hazardous incidents
· Order DEF, washer fluid, and oil as needed
· Write safety certificate and get mechanic to sign it
· Verification of safety related invoices
· Building company safety program when possible
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $15.00-$20.00 per hour
