POSITION SUMMARY
The Jr. Logistics Coordinator is an important member of the MLINK Logistics team, as he or she assists with all aspects of our advanced dispatch processes, which ensures fast and efficient transportation of goods of our customers. All work is done in accordance with both company and provincial protocols.
MAIN Duties AND Functions:
§ General administrative and logistic duties
§ Communicate effectively with customers and drivers to record details about shipments
§ Arrange pick up times, as well as discuss any special handling issues
§ Ensure Safety & Compliance requirements are met
§ Other duties as required
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, skills, ABILITIES, and PERSONAL attributes
The Logistics Coordinator must know:
§ MS Office Suite
§ File management policies and procedures
The Jr. Logistics Coordinator should be able to:
§ Communicate effectively and professionally with Owner / Manager, Supervisor, and Truck Drivers, as well as customers and other stakeholders encountered
§ Demonstrate strong English verbal and written skills, especially confident telephone skills
§ Manage time, multi-task, and prioritize tasks while working in a fast-paced environment
§ Effectively and efficiently use all features of MS Office Suite
§ Demonstrate exceptional organizational skills and be an effective team player
§ Learn and be able to complete any future training related to his or her role
§ Demonstrate an eye for detail, thinking quickly, and self-motivation
