Role Overview
We are looking for an energetic and independent Sales Representative to join our team. Reporting to our Director of Sales, you will work closely with our Sales and Customer Service Teams to serve our Customers, Retailers, and Contractors.
The Sales Representative is responsible for maximizing sales within assigned routes, from identifying opportunities with existing and potential customers through to closing the sales. The Sales Representative will act as an ambassador for the Nuvo Iron™ brand and must have a proven record of building successful, lasting relationships with a given client base. The position will focus on meeting key sales objectives for the department.
Responsibilities
· Effectively converts leads within assigned routes to customers. Regularly supports existing clientele to purchase additional product lines and maintain adequate inventory. Sales targets are consistently met and/or exceeded within the specified timeframe.
· Builds and maintains strong relationships with clientele and provides an overall excellent customer experience.
· Increases the company’s market presence and brand awareness
· Consistently demonstrates actions aligned with Nuvo Iron’s values.
You are an ideal candidate if you have:
· 3-5+ years’ experience, preferably in the building materials industry
· Strong attention to detail with the ability to solve problems
· Self-driven and focused on achieving results
· Ability to stay motivated while dealing with challenges
· Must be comfortable with frequent travel
· Post-Secondary education in Business, Communications, Marketing or a related field is an asset
· Strong knowledge and passion towards building materials
· Experience with an ERP system preferred, SAP is an asset
· Knowledge of Microsoft Suite of Programs
· Ability to communicate effectively to all levels of contacts, verbally, in writing, and through presentations
· Superior relationship management skills with a focus on establishing and maintaining strong working relationships with employees and clients
· Ability to effectively manage multiple competing priorities with a sense of urgency to meet deadlines
· Bilingual (English/French) preferred
