This is a fully remote position that will be based in Ontario.
Your day-to-day:
Process full cycle Accounts Receivable, including invoicing clients based on agreements, collecting payments, and recording deposits and receipts
Process full cycle Accounts Payable, including processing vendor and contractor invoices with approval of the appropriate manager, ensuring compliance on POs, and preparing payment of bills on a semi monthly basis
Process transactions associated with bank accounts, credit cards, and employee expenses
Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, annual closings, and year-end audit
What you bring to the table:
2+ years of experience in an accounting function completing AP/AR, reporting, and general bookkeeping
Degree/Diploma in Accounting/Finance or comparable work experience
Demonstrated experience with spreadsheet software (Excel and Google Sheets) to build financial models including advanced formulas and functions (pivot tables, vlookups, index/match, etc.)
Basic understanding of Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises (ASPE)
Familiarity using QuickBooks or similar accounting software.
Strong communication skills, particularly when dealing with non-financial staff, leadership, and Fortune 500 clients
Ability to work independently and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders to get things done on a timely basis
Comfort with a high degree of autonomy and ambiguity
Strong drive to learn and ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced, and constantly changing environment
