The Position:
The Logistics Administrator Specialist supporting Samsung will be responsible for the overall management of carrier, warehouse, and/or insurance claims as applicable, as it relates to claim entry, collection, and processing of claims, in addition to supporting functions regarding inventory variance resolution as well as logistics returns management. This individual will be responsible for the on-time processing of claims and claim tracking, process claim payments, identifying issues, and managing claim disputes. This individual will also support and provide resolution of shipping discrepancies as they relate to claims, inventory, and reverse logistics. This individual will be responsible for certain inventory movements within Samsung systems, and support reconciliation and variance reporting, and overall claim management.
The Logistics Admin Specialist will be responsible for the creation of SOPs, implementation, and outward training and will ensure that policies and procedures as set out by Samsung HQ are followed and continuously managed to.
This position will liaise directly with Samsung’s divisional Supply Chain management and finance teams, Third-Party Logistics providers, Carriers, Distributors, the Service Department, and customer base, to provide best practice solutions and manage the on-time Claims, Inventory variance and reverse logistics process.
What you’re responsible for:
Responsible for related key performance indicators (KPI) as they relate to inventory, claims and reverse logistics
Responsible for the Claims process including SOP (Standard Operating Procedures) creation, aging claim closure, tracking, disputes
Creating inbound/origin claims, carrier claims, e-commerce claims –
Coordination with dealers/distributors and internal logistics partners
Responsible for inventory management, stock adjustments, stock movement, refund PO, etc.
Responsible for the creation and maintenance of the overall Reverse Logistics and claims process (including SOP creation / training / leadership across all divisions, as well as ensuring all processes are in line with Samsung Global Policy)
Support month-end responsibility to close aged or outstanding items
Reporting and track / trace duties for reverse logistics
Vendor compliance / fine reduction and avoidance, task force member
Inventory discrepancy ownership and responsibility to clear
Ad-Hoc reporting and duties as required
To be successful:
Post-secondary education from a recognized college or university required
Intermediate or Advanced MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint
Familiarity with SAP / ERP an asset
Familiarity with Reverse Logistics, Inventory, Claims (collections, accounts receivable), transportation and warehousing, an asset
Data retrieval and manipulation experience with demonstrable, verifiable output and report creation
Customer Service skills
Consumer market familiarity in Canada
