If you are an HR generalist with strong client-service orientation, we would like to hear from you. The purpose of this role is to provide exceptional HR services to the lawyers and staff and your role as an HR Specialist will be far from one-dimensional. You will undertake a wide range of HR tasks, like organizing trainings, facilitating, and advising employees on policies and protocols. You will be an enabler, helping teams achieve greater efficiency through optimal use of our systems and you will use Human Resources Information Systems to ensure all employee records are up-to-date and confidential. You will also act as the main point of contact for employees’ queries on HR-related topics.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Regularly communicate with legal and administrative teams to ensure active engagement.
- Assist in talent acquisition and recruitment processes.
- Actively seek to develop and improve Pace Law’s talent pool
- Conduct employee onboarding and help organize training (includes providing software training to new hires) & development initiatives.
- Schedule, coordinate, manage and organize training programs across various departments.
- Report on success rate of the trainings conducted
- Promote HR programs and utilization of software to create an efficient workplace
- Assist in implementation of human resource and company policies
- Undertake tasks around performance management
- Maintain employee files and records
- Lead Pace’s Social & Community involvement committee and support Health & Safety Committee
- Coordinate mentorship and learning programs
- Enhance job satisfaction by resolving issues promptly, organizing team building activities and supporting administrative tasks where required
Qualifications:
- Bachelor Degree/Diploma in Human Resources or HR Certificate, HR Designation (completion or in progress)
- 2+ years in an HR Generalist role
- Extensive employee relations experience, law firm HR experience an asset
- Thorough understanding of Ontario Employment Standards
- Previous experience in time sensitive, deadline driven environment with competing priorities
- High comfort level in interacting and navigating across multiple levels within an organization and with external partners
- Exposure or involvement in talent acquisition processes and technology
- Knowledge of ADP Workforce Now is an asset.
