Parks and Recreation Ontario Looking for Content Development (Student Role) at Toronto, ON Full Time

Parks and Recreation Ontario (PRO) is a non-profit organization, that advances the health, social and environmental benefits of quality recreation and parks through evidence-based practices, resources and collaborative partnerships. PRO is a membership-based organization, and provides high quality education, training, and conferences, and collaborates with its stakeholders to offer advocacy and government relations within the Parks and Recreation Sector.

The Content Development student

Specific work will include:

– Working with a team to support the research, design and implementation of an engagement strategy.

-The goal of this work will be to develop an “implementation framework” that will be used by our stakeholders as they use HIGH FIVE in their summer recreation programing.

– Conduct an evaluation of project activities.

– Develop a pre and post survey that measures the organizational knowledge before and after the training intervention in their programing.

– at the end of your work term you will develop a presentation and a report to present your findings to the leadership team.

– Strong verbal and written Communication skills are required.

– An understanding and experience with qualitative research methods.

– Work independently, remotely and as part of a team.

– Deadline oriented and able to stay on task while handling different priorities.

This role is funded by a grant from Canada Summer Jobs. Qualifications (criteria for hiring) are established by the government in its granting application and candidates must meet the criteria listed below:

• be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment**;

• must reside in Canada, must have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations. International Students are not eligible participants;

• a student at a recognized university or a college, (or a recent graduate – no later than May 2022 and up to 30 years of age);
• Reliable home office internet connection is required. A computer can be provided during the duration of the work, but candidates can work on their home computer.

Job Type: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 10 weeks
