Peel HR Looking for Extrusion Operator – Blowing Film at Oakville, Ontario, Canada Full Time

Join our client team as an Extrusion Operator – Blowing Film and be an integral part of our production department. We’re seeking a skilled professional with extensive experience in operating and maintaining blowing extrusion machines. As an operator, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring high-quality production while minimizing waste and striving for operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and set up machinery to maintain the proper gauge of materials.
• Monitor production processes to maintain exceptional quality standards.
• Prepare for upcoming jobs and execute changeovers efficiently.
• Maintain accurate production reports and schedules.
• Report any safety-related issues, accidents, or emergency maintenance promptly to the immediate supervisor.
• Troubleshoot process and equipment problems as they arise.
• Adhere strictly to plant safety policies and procedures.
• Ensure safe and effective equipment operation for production processing.
• Maintain equipment in good, safe working condition through regular inspections and cleaning.
• Keep the workstation free from hazardous materials.

Requirements:

• Proficiency in operating Blowing Extrusion machines.
• Skilled in using hand tools such as wrenches, die gauges, screwdrivers, tape measures, etc.
• Basic computer skills for maintaining records and reports.
• Ability to engage in moderate to heavy physical activities on a daily basis, including walking, bending, stooping, and lifting (over 50 lbs).
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and resolve machinery malfunctions.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Familiarity with factory safety procedures and guidelines.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a blowing film extruder operator.
• Mandatory use of safety shoes and safety glasses as required.
