Job Description
Are you an Analytics Engineer who wants to work at a large scale to drive significant business impact? We are looking for a driven, naturally curious individual to join our Digital Experiences team as an Analytics Engineer immediately from Toronto, delivering cloud native Big Data solutions within our global Media ecosystem. Our engineering teams work with data on a massive scale and are responsible for the design, development, and continuous innovation of best-in-class solutions supporting P&G as one of the largest digital advertisers in the world.

As an Analytics Engineer you will:
- Work within a multi-disciplinary team including engineers, product managers, designers, and marketers following Agile & DevOps best practices
- Partner with business stakeholders, upstream infrastructure platform teams, and downstream data consumers to understand and translate business requirements into technical design while working on advanced analytics use cases
- Design and develop cloud native Big Data solutions to real business problems
- Work with advanced analytics technologies to solve data and computation challenges at a large scale.
- Deliver analytical algorithms and applications.
- Develop and support data pipelines, warehouses, data models, and reporting systems to tackle business opportunities
- Lead and continuously improve end-to-end service delivery including strategic vendor management, operations, and product innovation.
- Prepare data models and feature quality checks, optimizes analytical solutions at scale
- Provide development governance, direction and consultations to business and engineering teams

Job Qualifications
The Ideal Candidate is:
You are first and foremost a problem solver, driven by curiosity, growth and a desire to make things better. You are very comfortable writing code, debugging, and working hands-on. You are excited and not discouraged by working in the unknowns, with a passion for continuous learning and developing your own breadth and depth of technical knowledge, applying that knowledge to solve business problems. You have a strong foundation in Computer Science fundamentals, data engineering best practices, and cloud development. You take pride in the quality of solutions that you build and strive to make everything automated, testable, and scalable. You work collaboratively with others on your team and across different teams, are interested learning from others, and have a desire to share your knowledge with the broader internal software engineering community.
Qualifications:
- BS or MS in Business/Management Information Systems and/or Computer Science/Engineering, Programming/Software Development or Operations Research or Statistics, or with proven track of record from programming areas.
- Experience in Agile (specifically SCRUM methodology), leveraging CI/CD and DevOps practices and using appropriate tools such as Jira, GitHub, etc.
- Experience with GCP, including technologies that enable the modern data stack, ideally with BigQuery, dbt, Cloud Composer (Airflow), PowerBI, Looker
- Experience in programming in SQL and Python
- Experience in Analytics, Data Modeling, and Data Provisioning (acquisition from various sources, transformation and sharing)
- Experience working in media measurement, reporting, and optimization related to digital and/or traditional forms of media
