The Opportunity:
The role of a Bookkeeper is more than just crunching numbers; it’s about crafting financial narratives that drive our success story. As a successful candidate, you will record financial transactions with precision, handling everything from purchases and sales to receipts and payments. Your meticulous eye for detail, stellar communication skills, and impeccable organization will make you an indispensable part of our team.
Your mission isn’t just limited to numbers; it’s also about nurturing relationships. You’ll build lasting bonds with both internal and external stakeholders, fostering trust and collaboration.
Your Role:
Reporting directly to senior management and supporting their strategic initiatives. Your key responsibilities will include:
· Conducting full-cycle bookkeeping, including data entry, monthly bank and credit card reconciliations, and record maintenance.
· Ensuring compliance with legal requirements while recording financial transactions.
· Assisting in the preparation of month-end reporting packages and bank reconciliations.
· Preparing financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.
· Verifying the accuracy of transactions and reconciling ledgers.
· Managing client and supplier relationships.
· Timely handling of accounts receivable and accounts payable.
· Promoting a customer-oriented approach to service delivery and documenting business processes.
· Assisting invoice processing department.
Requirements:
To thrive in this role, you’ll need:
· 3-5 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles.
· Current user of QuickBooks Online.
· A strong grasp of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
· A finance-related post-secondary education.
· A deep commitment to effective communication and collaboration.
· A passion for data, analytics, and compliance.
· High standards of excellence, accuracy, and integrity.
· Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
· Problem-solving prowess with the ability to tackle complex issues.
· Exceptional organizational skills for managing competing interests.
· A team-oriented, courteous, and professional demeanour.
· Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
· Work on-site.
