An Excellent opportunity to join a dynamic team where you will be assisting the Customer Service Supervisor & Dock achieve objectives handling overages, shortages & damages.
Duties & Responsibilities
To assist the Customer Service Supervisor and Dock to achieve the objectives for the department.
To ensure the process of being proactive in advising customers of any issues affecting movement of
freight
To ensure all customer inquiries are handled in an timely and professional manner.
To ensure there is compliance and immediate follow up on all OS&D shipments.
To ensure that any exception freight found by the dock check is resolved in a timely manner.
To act as a liaison between the shipper/consignee and operations to ensure quality handling of all
accounts.
To ensure the process and compliance of Order Entry calls, emails are recorded into the Dispatch
system accurately. (TruckMate).
To perform other relevant tasks as assigned.
To ensure all freight on the dock is being addressed, arranged for delivery based on service
schedule.
To ensure all customers are kept satisfied with all shipments handled professionally with prompt
communication when required meeting customers expectations.
Take Client calls, responding appropriately to email inquires, updating system and client portals
Review daily reports ensuring the system is up to date for prompt invoicing
Updating details on orders with dispatch
Review daily dock check for discrepancy and reconcile
Prepare OSD Monitors for all potential claims for review with Terminal Manager
Complete OSD entries in Truckmate each OSD will need to be resolved and removed off the OSD
report – report to be run daily
Requirements & Qualifications
Previous experience, preferably in the transportation industry, in a role dealing with OS&D –
Overages, Shortages & Damages.
Proven organisational, communication and time-management skills.
Superior investigative abilities.
Individual should be ambitious as well as goal and career oriented.
Computer literacy in MS Office essential ~ (MS Word and Excel, TruckMate).
Competent in a fast paced environment, able to multitask.
