Our client is a retail and manufacturing company of premium leather furniture to the North American Market. Located in the Delta/Tilbury area the Company is seeking an Accounting Manager to oversee the accounting functions. You’ll be proficient with Quickbooks, strong Excel and have experience in the manufacturing/retail market. This is a great opportunity if you are seeking the next step of your career and seeking a leadership role!
Requirements
Requirements:
- Leading a team of accounting professionals
- Prepare full set of accounts and chart of accounts
- GST/HST, Payroll and T4 processing
- Costing, budgeting and financial analysis
- Enter transactions and reconcile account balances
- Prepare working papers, schedules, and reconciliations for external review purposes
- Handle monthly, quarterly and annual financial closings
- Comfortable with GAAP and internal control/process improvements
Qualifications
- 2-3 years of supervisory experience
- Minimum 3-4 years of accounting experience
- Previous experience in manufacturing industry can be an asset
- Bachelor degree in accounting or related field
- Ongoing or near completion of CPA program
- Independent and problem-solver
- Proficient with QuickBooks and inventory systems
