Our Mississauga client is currently seeking a dedicated accounts payable professional to join their rapidly expanding team. About the role:
· Conduct comprehensive review, processing, and verification of invoices and cheque requests.
· Ensure meticulous attachment of relevant documentation to support financial transactions.
· Efficiently prepare and execute cheque runs, adhering to established procedures.
· Monitor accounts to guarantee that payments are current and in accordance with financial protocols.
· Investigate and resolve discrepancies and issues related to invoices, demonstrating a proactive approach to problem-solving.
· Maintain organized and up-to-date vendor files to facilitate smooth financial operations.
· Engage in correspondence with vendors, addressing inquiries promptly and professionally.
· Provide valuable support during month-end closing processes, contributing to the overall financial accuracy of the organization.
· Demonstrate effective teamwork within a collaborative environment.
· Uphold strict adherence to deadlines and ensure timely completion of assigned tasks.
· Furnish necessary supporting documentation for audit processes.
About you:
· Possess a diploma or bachelor’s degree in business management or accounting, or 3-5 years of relevant professional experience.
· Strong proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups) with a keen attention to detail.
· Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple responsibilities concurrently, meeting deadlines with precision.
· Communicate articulately with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Prior experience with Yardi is advantageous and will be considered an asset.
