Robert Half has partnered with a company in the Construction field, to fill an opening for an Accounts Payable Clerk. This Accounts Payable Clerk position offers an opportunity to become an essential part of a quickly growing company. This Accounts Payable Clerk opportunity will be located in the Markham, Ontario area and will be a short-term contract position. In this influential department, there is a possibility for further career growth and advancement. The Accounts Payable Clerk will provide support to the Finance& Accounting team and in a fast-paced, multi-company environment.

What you get to do every day:
– Receive, review, verify, code, and enter invoices into the system
– Upload invoices for approval and save digital copies
– Matching invoices to purchase orders
– Obtaining approvals for invoices
– Process cheque runs and EFT payments
– Respond to vendor and internal inquiries
– Reconcile vendor statements
– Other ad hoc tasks

– 3-5 years of experience working in an Accounts Payable role required
– Preference to those with Property experience
– Post-secondary education in Accounting or a related field; or equivalent training
– Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
– Experience using NewStar Enterprise a strong asset
– Strong communication skills and attention to detail
– Good data entry skills
