Key responsibilities
– Put together for department heads the circulation of weekly, monthly, quarterly, and year-end reports
– Take charge of all questions and requests related to payroll
– Offer proper review and verification of source documents
– Maintaining payroll operations by following policies and procedures; reporting needed changes
– Manage issues related to employee deductions and other liabilities, including reconciling
– Draft reports by organizing all summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability, and nontaxable wages
– Updating payroll records by entering changes in exemptions, insurance coverage, savings deductions, and job title and department/division transfers
– Supporting all internal and external audits related to payroll
– Handle payroll discrepancies through information collection and analysis
– Perform any other duties that arise in the course of normal business operations
– Protect confidential payroll operation information and maintain employee confidence
– Using federal and state regulations and guidelines, ensure company compliance
– Maintaining payroll information by collecting, calculating, and entering data
– 1+ years of Canadian Payroll processing experience required
– Preference to those with their PCP, or those who are working towards it
– Preference given to those with US and Canadian payroll processing experience
– Proficiency in Microsoft Office with strong Excel skills
– Outstanding analytical, quantitative and social skills
– Proficient knowledge of basic accounting principles and solid financial acumen
– Ability to enter data into various electronic systems while maintaining the integrity and accuracy of the data
– Strong familiarity with ADP Workforce Now
– Post-secondary education in Payroll or Accounting preferred
