– Talent Acquisition: Manage the end-to-end talent acquisition process, including drafting job postings, screening candidates, and coordinating interviews with relevant managers
– Onboarding: Oversee the onboarding process for new employees, ensuring a smooth transition into the organization and assisting with workplace integration and culture orientation
– Job Descriptions: Develop comprehensive job descriptions for new positions, ensuring key competencies and duties are identified
– Compliance and Policy Implementation: Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations and promote best HR practices, assist in developing and implementing HR policies and procedures
– Benefits Administration: Manage local benefit plans, including health, RRSP, CSST, and disability claims, provide data and reporting to validate benefits billing and support business reviews
– Training and Development: Coordinate and administer training and development programs for employees, collaborating with the HR Director and participating in training sessions where applicable
– Employee Relations: Respond to employee requests and inquiries promptly and constructively, fostering a collaborative and respectful workplace atmosphere
– Performance Evaluation: Assist in the development of performance evaluations, provide training for management, and review and process completed evaluations
– HRIS Management: Perform various functions in the HRIS system, including system optimization projects, software deployment, and reporting
– Leadership and Teamwork: Demonstrate leadership qualities and contribute to a positive team atmosphere, serve on the local team Social Committee for planning employee events.
Qualifications:
– At least 5 to 7 years of relevant work experience in human resources
– Strong knowledge of employment legislation and regulations in Quebec and Ontario provinces
– Excellent verbal and written communication skills, bilingualism to communicate with HQ in the US
– Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
– HR certifications such as CRHA or CHRP are preferred
– Experience with HRIS technology, Dayforce HCM experience is a plus
