Setter Capital Looking for Financial Sales Analyst/Associate at Toronto, ON Full Time

Setter Capital is a leading investment banking and brokerage firm in the global private equity secondary market. From our office in Toronto, we facilitate secondary transactions of fund positions, private company stakes, and other alternative assets between some of the largest and most sophisticated institutional investors in the world.

We seek an energetic and highly motivated individual to join our dynamic and entrepreneurial team. This is a client-facing role best suited for someone with a knack for negotiation and interests in both sales and private equity/venture capital. Though this position requires an understanding of finance and accounting concepts, it is not analytical in nature and does not involve granular financial modeling or valuation work.

Compensation is commensurate to skill, work ethic, and experience.

Within the first year, the successful candidate will be responsible for:

· Sourcing new opportunities and vetting buyers/sellers from Setter’s vast network (under the guidance of senior professionals)

· Assisting in mandate pitches

· Supporting the Setter team with transaction execution

· Developing a deep understanding of the private markets and cultivating a secondaries expertise

The successful candidate will possess most, if not all, of the following qualities:

· Exceptional interpersonal and sales skills

· Strong interest in investment banking and institutional investment sales

· An aptitude for negotiation and business development

· Positive personality

· Strong sense of urgency and a desire to go above and beyond

Though not a prerequisite, the successful candidate has the following qualifications:

· Sales, trading, brokering, or similar business development activities experience

· Strong understanding of financial concepts, demonstrated by academic performance or finance credentials (e.g., MBA, CFA, MFIN, BComm, etc.)

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $70,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
