THE ROLE
As the Silver Icing Senior Accountant you will be an important supporting team member on our Finance Team.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for full cycle accounting, monthly financial reporting and balance reconciliations
Prepare, process and post weekly/monthly journal entries including bank and debt transactions, corporate credit card transactions and intercompany transactions, monthly accruals and amortization entries
Assist CFO in building financial models and introducing new reporting and financial analysis
Lead in the automation of current models and reconciliation files
Support CFO in ensuring appropriate systems and controls are implemented and maintained
Make recommendations to encourage continuous improvement of financial performance
Assist in the creation and implementation of a comprehensive budget and 5 year forecast
Prepare daily and monthly KPI reports and distribute to operating teams
QUALIFICATIONS
Completed Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation
University Degree in Accounting, Economics, or Finance or Undergrad degree in non-accounting related subject paired with a Diploma in Accounting
Minimum 3 years accounting experience
Solid understanding of Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises
Experienced in Microsoft Excel
Experience with QuickBooks Desktop is an asset
Previous Account Payable experience is an asset
Financial Analysis experience is an asset
Retail/Manufacturing experience is an asset
