The Role: C# Software Developer
The Team: We build, maintain, and support big data storage and analytics solutions within the Markit Digital business line. We aim to produce high-quality, innovative, and fully performing software with superior resiliency and stability. Our team uses Cassandra, Hadoop, Elastic Search, S3, MS SQL server, and other tools to create solutions for our business.
The Impact: Our systems process, store, and report on high-volume data to provide accurate data in a timely manner.

Responsibilities:
Developing production-level solutions using C# and Java
Own the solution through development, testing, deployment, and production.
Perform unit-level software testing for all assigned features and support integration testing as needed.
Work collaboratively with other component and feature teams to deliver on key initiatives.
Curiosity to dig into code and get to the root of an issue.
Participate in providing feedback sprint over sprint and advocate for positive change.
Basic Qualifications:
B.S. in Computer Science or a related degree, and 3+ years of experience in a Software Development position
Strong C# development skills.
RDBMS experience (SQL Server, Oracle, Postgres, MySQL, etc.)
Good understanding of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle)
Solid understanding of software design patterns and architectural best practices
Passion for innovation and problem-solving
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with financial markets, pricing, or other related data.
Experience with Java
Python scripting
This role is limited to persons with indefinite right to work in Canada.

The Location: Remote or Hybrid Canada (Hybrid options available in London, ON and Calgary, Alberta)
Compensation/Benefits Information:
Base salary for this role will be based on the individual’s geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses and certifications.
In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan. This role is not eligible for additional compensation such as sales commission plan.
