Job Description:
What will you work on?
The Inbound Logistics Specialist will coordinate internal logistics operations with outsourced 3PL and transportation service providers. The Specialist must drive performance around Key Performance Indicators and defined Service Level Guidelines. Can work independently and at time in ambiguous situations. The ability to interface at all levels to drive execution.
This opportunity is a 12 month contract position
How will you create impact?
You will have knowledge of outsourced supplier management principles. Have the ability to use Key Performance Indicators to drive results. Fundamental knowledge of key warehousing and inventory management practices. Ability to utilize data and data access tool to drive data driven results. Sound Knowledge of transportation management best practices as well as enterprise (SAP), warehousing WMS and EDI B2B Integration.
How will you fit into the team?
You will proactively support external parties i.e., freight forwarders & 3PLs through an improvement plan with respect to operational functions. Participate and actively to develop a corrective action plan through monthly & quarterly metrics reports/scorecards. Manage and update standard operating procedures and service level guidelines as required. Knowledge or risk and controls best practices
What are your skills and experience?
BS/BA in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations.
Minimum of 5 years of related operational or relevant experience.
Expertise or working knowledge of toys industry is a plus.
Proficiency in Excel & SAP.
Detail-oriented with emphasis on following up in a fast-paced environment.
Interpersonal communication skills, relationship management, and collaboration skills is a must. Ability to influence others through demonstrated expertise.
Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
Data Analytics
Ability to work independently.
