T. Musselman Excavating a local growing excavating company that is looking for dedicated individuals to join our sewer team. If you are an experienced pipe layer, tailman or topman with construction/excavating experience, enjoy a positive work environment, manual labour and working outdoors this job may be right for you.
This position is available immediately.
Salary: $22-$40, dependent on experience & position offered
Hours: 40-55 hours a week

Responsibilities
- Ensuring that sewer and watermain is installed according to proper specifications, commonly working with PVC and concrete pipe
- Installing precast structures
- Benching and parging of manholes and catch basins
- Working closely with supervisor setting up pipe laser, laser, materials, etc.
- Cutting pipe as necessary
- Labouring as required
- Some small equipment operations (skid steer, packers, etc)
- Lifting and carrying items typical for a sewer operation
- Required to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions
- Comply with all company health and safety guidelines
- Responsible for own transportation to job sites
- Responsible to provide own CSA approved safety boots
- Other duties will be assigned as required
Desired Skills and Experience
- 1-5 years of experience as a pipe layer/tailman/topman
- Previous experience and knowledge about the excavating industry
- Machinery experience is an asset
- Must be safety conscious
- Excellent team player
- Great communication skills
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions
- Must have a valid G license
- Must be punctual and personable
- Must obtain WHMIS and Occupational Health and Safety training
