One of our major banking clients is looking for ON-SITE Data Entry-Accounting Clerk- Must have V-lookup-Pivot Table & Bank exp.
Length: 4 Months contract with a possibility of extension
Location: Toronto, ON – ON-SITE
Working hours: 9-5
Line of Business- Technology and Operations

ROLE MANDATE:
This resource will be supporting the Operations team focusing on reconciliation and audits. There is not a specific project(s) pegged for this resource, they are solely responsible for reconciling and auditing. The selected candidates will gather paper based unclaimed cheques and input into excel and validate output. Perform inquiries, copy and paste info into excel to creates letters to send to check owners.

This role provides contractor experience with the banking world and exposure to reconciliation and auditing. There are opportunities for growth within the different departments within the bank as well.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE (but are not limited to):
• Review and audit transactions processed by other teams
• Reconcile and balance internal accounts
• Investigate and escalate out of balance accounts
• The candidate may be responsible for corresponding with other team members / business partners to resolve escalations and investigation requests
MUST-HAVE SKILLS:
• 1-2 years of experience in a similar capacity in a data entry/data validating role (FI – reconciliation/auditing is a plus)
• Attention to detail
• Data input, Data output and Data validation
• Accuracy
• Accounting experience is a plus
• Analytics Skills
• Enjoys reconciliation and auditing
• Proficient in MS Office, Outlook
• Excellent proficiency in excel (V-look up and pivot table) required.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Post-Secondary Degree/Diploma (Accounting or finance preferred)
