THE OPPORTUNITY

Embedded within the Operations Planning team, the Project Manager will be responsible for planning, monitoring, and reporting on the project, production, and revenue execution. You will ensure product requirements and specifications are captured, all project activities are scheduled and tracked during all phases of the engineering and operations delivery cycle. Significant requirements of the role include identifying possible risks and issues and ensuring they are documented along with risk mitigation strategies and identifying project dependencies to effectively integrate and identify potential issues. In this role you will also be accountable for establishing processes and best practices for effective management of projects, capturing long term efforts, and maintaining roadmaps. In addition, you will communicate key developments, updates and problems to stakeholders and report progress to leaders on a regular basis.

What You Will Do

Develop and monitor project plans for Operations projects and production launches

• Collaborate with stakeholders to support project scope and objectives
• Lead and facilitates project planning meetings and kickoff sessions, participate in weekly business and revenue planning cycles
• Aggregate and maintain project schedules to ensure project and business targets are being met
• Facilitate work of team members assigned to projects in support of Engineering functional leaders, and develop corrective strategy and action plans when appropriate
• Organize and track project roadmaps, track project performance to established KPIs and metrics
• Assist in estimating costs; manages and maintains project budgets (EAC)
• Identify and analyze risks; develop risk mitigation strategies

Report and communicate project progress

• Ensure projects are compliant with requirements and business needs
• Measure project performance and conduct project reviews with stakeholders
• Identify, monitor and manage project risk related to New Product Introduction issues and resolutions
• Report progress of projects, goals, problems and other issues to management

Lead project management process improvement

• Optimize and improve project management processes and approaches
• Implement and maintain project management tools
• Evaluate project outcomes and lessons learned; works with Engineering functional leaders to implement process improvements

What You Have

• Post-secondary education in a technical, engineering or computing discipline, ideally combined with PMP certification
• Knowledge of project and program management tools and techniques including planning, process mapping, root cause analysis and facilitation
• Experience with project management enterprise software tools
• Familiarity with engineering development processes and capabilities
• Ability to identify and articulate risk and risk mitigation strategies
• Strong understanding of NPI processes and best practices
• Experience working in the technology industry
• Superior communication, critical thinking and decision making skills
• Demonstrated ability to influence decision making among colleagues
• Strong stakeholder management coupled with effective conflict resolution abilities
