Finance/Systems Managers

Finance with experience in ERP and leading migration to a new ERP system.

Description

Data and Controls

• Review accounting and payroll systems and supporting data from other systems. Evaluate and improve current financial controls to ensure auditability and accuracy of reporting.
• Evaluate FIS and payroll systems with an optimization lens.
• Facilitate optimization.
• Oversee new software and data transfer. Ensure training for users.
• Configuration of General Ledger accounts
• Led automation and optimization projects for the finance and administration team

Budgets

• Develop and facilitate budget process based on a business unit re-design.
• Oversee operational reporting to business unit heads. Communicate effectively at all levels.

Decision-making and Planning

• Use a risk management approach to determine funding gaps and overspending trends.
• Support the information needs of the director, managers, and executive in planning and decision-making. Prepare reports for the Director of Finance and HCH leadership.
• Analyze and prepare performance data for presentations.
• Restructure internal processes for effectiveness and standardize operating procedures

Audit

• Could you work with the Director, finance team and business unit leaders to prepare for external audits?
• Lead the audit response.
• Ensure proper communications, triage, and brokerage as needed.
• Select areas for internal audit and execute internal audits annually. Prepare reports for the Director with his recommendation

Payroll

• Oversee payroll system and processes.
• Determine the need for optimization to reduce data transfers. Ensure auditability.
• Working with the Director of HR, supervise and mentor the payroll administrator

Teamwork

• In all functions, liaise and work with Finance managers and staff to improve the department’s role.
• Be always a team player. Be willing to jump in and get the work completed as directed

Qualifications

• Systems implementation experience.
• Financial operations/controls/audit experience -3 to 5 years
• Outstanding financial, process, and data analytical skills.
• Ability to communicate at all levels of the organization.
• Demonstrated team player
• Long-term care experience is an asset.
