THE TEN SPOT® exists to make everyone feel like a ten, so they can live their best life ever! we’re an international network of beauty bars that provides impeccably executed services in a #clinicallyclean environment. THE TEN SPOT® bedford is looking for a receptionist/ guest services coordinator who acts as the conductor of our space and ensures that every interaction a client has with us makes them feel like a ten.
what you will do:
- enthusiastically host each guest who enters our space; we treat our clients like guests in our home, offering high-touch service from the moment they walk in. from welcoming our guests by name, to finding opportunities to connect with our guests in a customized way. you’ll proactively make sure each and every guest who enters the space feels well taken-care of through the duration of their visit. being the first point of contact, you will offer them a beverage, prepare them for their service and communicate if anything is running behind schedule. you continuously have your eye on every single guest in our space to ensure they have exactly what they need to feel like a ten.
- be the booking genius & maximize the schedule; you’ll have a keen familiarity with each of our services, how much time they take, what order then can be done in and who can perform them. you’ll use this knowledge to optimize our bookings, refining the schedule to be as efficient as possible. as you rebook guests in person, schedule appointments over the phone, and as online bookings filter in, you’ll be on the lookout for opportunities to open up more availability, and minimize the amount of downtime between appointments. you’ll have your finger on the pulse of the schedule at all times, making adjustments as necessary and be in constant communication with the esthetics team about the daily schedule.
- meticulously oversee the appearance of our physical space; because you love the details you appreciate a clean and organized space because you know that it contributes to an exceptional experience for both guests and staff. from the moment you open the bar to the moment you lock the doors, your keen eye for detail allows you to spot things that are out of place and take action to resolve them. From maintaining bathrooms, to washing laundry, to keeping the floors clean, and making sure we’ve got all the supplies we need – your mission is to keep our bar in tip-top shape.
- ensure the final touchpoint with guests is a success; in addition to being the first point of contact for our guests you will also be the last. from offering upgrades and add-ons to services, to upselling products, you’re continuously on the lookout for opportunities to offer our guests more than what they came for. you’ll also be an expert at checking guests out after their services, processing gift cards and supporting guests with online purchases and informing them about our memberships. when the guest experience hasn’t been so smooth, you will take corrective action and work to recover situations in the moment so that by the end of their appointment, they do leave feeling like they’ve had a 10/10 experience.
who you are:
- a brilliant multitasker with the ability to predict the future; you’re someone who is used to working in an environment with a million things happening at once, and you love to hustle and get shxt done. you are almost psychic in your ability to predict what needs the day will have and you get ahead of them and are always prepared. you don’t get overwhelmed with multiple competing priorities – in fact this is fuel for your already infectious positive energy.
- the person with the biggest smile who makes everyone feel welcome; you are warm, friendly and approachable. you’ve been told your whole life that you put people at ease and they seem to always open up to you. you love spending all your time interacting with people from all different backgrounds and different types of personalities. you can make anyone feel comfortable and at home.
- someone who has never said the words ‘that isn’t my job’; our values are incredibly important to us here at THE TEN SPOT®. someone who can be in it together with us is paramount. you know that success is shared and are willing to step-in and help with whatever is necessary to make sure the day is running smoothly, even if that means helping out with things that might not be on your own task list.
- a clear communicator; it’s easy for you to identify and attune yourself to what’s up for people in the moment. you instinctively know how to adjust your communication style to best deal with people, meeting them where they are at. whether it’s working with our team or guests you are able to adjust your communication to get what you need.
- open availability; someone who is happy working evenings and weekends. someone who is happy to stay an extra 15 minutes at the end of the day so our esthetic expert can perfect that specific nail art request our regular guest dreamed off, and help send that guest off feeling like the 10 they are!
