Job Summary:
Manitoba Harvest has and opening for a Supervisor, Logistics and Warehouse to join our team. This position will be responsible for both our internal warehouses located at our Winnipeg and our Ste. Agathe, MB facilities.
The Warehouse and Logistics Supervisor will be responsible for the day to supervision and leadership of internal warehouse operations, inventory counts and accuracy and daily logistics oversight. This role will analyze and maintain warehouse metrics and ensure inventory availability.
Key Responsibilities:Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Supervise on site warehouse teams to ensure daily production needs are addressed
Working with Supply Chain Manager, establish priorities in the warehouse to meet organizational goals
Work with freight carriers, customers and vendors to ensure on time outbound and inbound shipments
Use multiple information sources to develop a least cost transportation plan
Analyze and maintain ERP system data
Provide analytical support to the Supply Chain team
Supervise and lead inventory reconciliation activities – identify discrepancies, communicate with operations, assist in development of cycle count process
Source new carriers and logistics partners
Provides leadership and direction, including performance feedback, work goals and development to warehouse team
Investigate and address root cause of non-conformances related to the warehouse and warehouse activities
Recommend substitutions or corrections to manager or Sales team to minimize waste or to expedited orders.
Recommend and implement best practices to minimize potential damage in shipment.
Assist all division staff to ensure total customer satisfaction in support of divisions financial results.
Communicate general and quality-related concerns to management.
Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of working experience in Logistics Management
Post-Secondary education in Logistics or Supply Chain Management
Minimum 3 years Supervising team members
Strong business acumen in a Logistics and Warehouse operations environment
ERP system experience, sage 300 an asset
Possess strong skills in, problem solving/analytics, and overall supply chain systems
Highly proficient in Microsoft applications
Detail oriented with solid investigative skills.
Forklift experience an asset
Excellent organizational skills
Proven ability to manage multiple projects and timelines
