Towne Ford in Miramichi, part of the Towne Automotive Group, is looking for a motivated and team-oriented New Car Sales Manager to join it’s team.
This position involves managing the new car sales department and sales team to ensure that customer needs are met, as well as planning, organizing, and controlling the activities of the new sales department and measuring the performance of employees in the department. The ideal candidate will oversee all activities including monitoring the showroom, department finances, customer service, inventory, branding, promotions, and prospecting.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Recruiting, hiring, training, and overseeing a team of automotive salespeople
- Setting goals, tracking progress & leading the team to achieve & exceed quotas
- Coaching salespeople on best practices for closing more vehicle deals and providing advice and guidance to improve sales performance
- Forecasting sales for upcoming months and quarters
- Stepping in to answer customer questions and issues when required
- Coordinating and leading all regular sales meetings with the sales staff
- Developing & managing a database to retain customers & seek out new sales
- Maintaining a strong focus on the satisfaction of all customers
- Compiling regular reports for dealership management to review
Qualifications and Skills
- Strong background in sales, business, and/or marketing an asset
- 5+ years of experience in a sales management role at a dealership an asset
- Ability to follow process and directions
- Exceptional customer service skills
- High energy and an outgoing personality with the ability to develop relationships quickly
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks on a daily basis
- A desire to succeed and exceed targets
- Proven knowledge of effective sales strategies and best practices
- Substantial track record of exceeding sales quotas and goals
- Excellent leadership skills
- Strong communication skills
- Outgoing and service-oriented attitude
- Knowledge of inventory control and management

- Valid Class 5 driver’s license
