What We’re Looking For
You will be responsible for promoting product functionality and solutions and driving product requirements while working closely with Tribe’s engineering team, our product data team, and internal product management on precise deliverables.
We truly believe that the success of our customers comes first so expectations for Product Managers to be the expert on the user is high. You seek constant communication with customers, (existing, churned and prospect), as well as a deep understanding of the markets in which we operate. You are driven by uncovering deep quantitative data to complete the customer picture.
You will bring product expertise to the team, define specifications, participate in daily and weekly team syncs, manage the product roadmap(s), connect with and understand our users, and prioritize feature development. You will ensure strategic direction and effective detailed plans are in place from architecture to operations to go-to-market. You are able to concisely communicate complex concepts, operate in a regulated environment, and are passionate about beautiful product UX and API design. The scope of this role includes integrations with other third party systems, payment processing, and collaborating with our service delivery teams. This role reports to the Head of Product.
Skills You Possess
Your skills and experience should include:
Strong experience in a dynamic product management role
Proven experience overseeing all elements of the product development lifecycle
Highly effective cross-functional team management, and experience planning and coordinating product releases that involve multiple departments
Previous experience delivering finely-tuned product marketing strategies
Experience working closely with development teams as a product owner
Very strong ability to break down product requirements into user stories that paint the picture for the development team
Expertise and experience with SCRUM and/or agile software development methods
Experience using both quantitative and qualitative research to improve the product
Demonstrated ability to communicate with stakeholders to gain product buy-in by understanding product use cases, requirements and the business case

Things that aren’t required but would raise you above the rest:
Expertise in Jira
Specific experience in the Proptech industry
Experience planning and leading marketplace and/or payments products
Product Marketing role experience
Coding/software development experience
UI/UX design experience
Proficiency in Figma/Sketch, Photoshop, and Asana
Our Culture
We are a fast-paced, growing company of more than 170 employees across Canada. While our software engineering and product teams are based out of our downtown Vancouver office, we have staff in Victoria, Kelowna, Kamloops, Calgary and Cambridge, Ontario.
We typically like to highlight our in-office ping-pong and foosball, kombucha tap and insta-worthy Treat Tuesdays…however, we are currently working under a phased approach to in-office operations depending on role, responsibility and current health guidelines.
We have regular virtual Town Halls, social activities and match-up staff for weekly remote coffee chats to stay connected.
