Job Opportunity: Bookkeeper
Company Overview: Join a reputable company, U1 Logistics, located in Mississauga, dedicated to excellence in the industry. As we expand, we are actively seeking a skilled and experienced Bookkeeper (NOC: 12200) to join our dynamic team.
Position: Bookkeeper
Location: Mississauga
Responsibilities: As a crucial member of our team, the Bookkeeper will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting functions within our office setting. Working directly with the CEO and Operations staff, this role includes, but is not limited to:
- Handling bank deposits
- Conducting monthly bank reconciliations and other account reconciliations
- Maintaining and remitting monthly HST schedules
- Managing corporate remittances for federal and provincial taxes payable
- Processing cheque requests and facilitating daily & weekly cheque runs
- Handling vendor payments via wire transfers/EFT payments
- Preparing various accounting summaries and reports
- Assisting accountants with quarterly and year-end financial statement preparation
- Preparing and maintaining simple year-end financial statements and related tax returns
- Participating in special projects and other assigned functions
Requirements: To be successful in this role, you should have:
- 3-5 years of experience in a similar role
- CPB Designation or enrolled to pursue CPB preferred
- Completion of diploma or post-secondary education in Accounting/Bookkeeping
- Attention to detail with an analytical aptitude and thorough problem-solving ability
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-task environment with rigid deadlines
- Independent work capability, organizational skills, and effective prioritization
- Experience with QuickBooks and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook)

Job Type: Full Time, Permanent
Salary: $52,000.00-$65,000.00 per year – based on experience
