ACCOUNTS PAYABLE CLERK for a 6-month term
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Enter accounts payable into Oracle Financials.
- Ensure invoices and check requests are properly supported and approved.
- Review account coding and correct any miscoding.
- Ensure the accuracy of sales tax (GST and PST) and identify and calculate self-assessments. where required.
- Match invoices to approval batches.
- Prepare account reconciliations including vendor & bank statement reconciliation.
- Back up for accounts receivable entry.
- Back up reception coverage.
- Filing and photocopying as required.
- Support to the team in additional junior duties as needed.
Our Ideal Candidate Would Have
- Post-secondary training in administration or accounting or 1 to 2 years of experience in a similar role.
- Experience in Oracle accounts payable is an asset.
- High degree of accuracy with numbers and strong attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Must be flexible and be able to adjust to changing workloads and tasks.
- Advanced Excel, Word and Outlook skills.
- A self-starter with the initiative to learn and grow.
