About the Pet Cancer Foundation
The Pet Cancer Foundation’s vision is to increase the life expectancy and improve the quality of life of pets diagnosed with cancer. Estimates suggest that 12M dogs and cats are developing cancer every year, roughly 6x the number of humans getting cancer yearly within North America. We need to do more for our furry friends, and we’re building a large team of distributed, animal-loving passionate volunteers to help them and their families.
Over the past 24 months, the organization has grown from the Founder’s vision to a team of over 250 volunteers working virtually across Canada, the United States, and another half dozen countries worldwide. As we work to become the leading organization in the field of animal cancers, we plan to more than double in size over the next 12 months. To continue on this trajectory, we’re searching for highly qualified accounting professionals to provide critical analysis across the organization’s many projects. About the Position
To help the Foundation realize its large vision, the volunteer, Financial Analysis, will use their extensive experience while thinking ‘out of the box’ to find solutions and deliver results. The will work closely with senior management to increase the organization’s efficiency and profitability by leading and managing the financial analysis team. The role requires the leader to provides analysis, reports and recommendations with respect to PCF operational and financial requirements. The will be comfortable analyzing data to understand, solving business problems and presenting the results, and leading a high functioning team. The will play an important role in the month end process, and raise critical insights and recommendations to enable our VP’s, C-suite leadership, and other senior leaders’ evaluation of business initiatives, projects, and decisions.

The ideal candidate is a relationship builder, has strong EQ, and has executives and business stakeholders’ trust. This role requires a well-rounded professional with solid technical finance skills and an intuitive analytical mind.
