Role Summary:

The Director of Sales in Ontario will be responsible for all regional sales functions and driving strategic initiatives. This individual is responsible for motivating and driving their team in achieving quarterly/annual sales goals, developing distribution channels, building strategic business relationships, and providing vision for all sales strategies and their execution. The Director of Sales is also responsible for containing the costs of selling in order to achieve financial objectives.

What You Will Do:

• Work closely with CRO and Senior Leadership team and other business units to oversee the establishment of 4-6 sales regions in Ontario, including attracting Regional Sales Managers, assisting in establishing sales regions and territories, and setting appropriate goals and pay plans.
• Devise and deploy all sales goals and objectives across the region, including the preparation of sales quotas and budgets while ensuring a high level of accuracy, accountability, and customer service.
• Integrate and align sales strategies with available talent, processes, IT systems, and other areas to increase sales force capability and success.
• Assist and help (along with the Senior Director of Sales Operations and other executives) to create training and development plans for sales managers.
• Identify top talent, and training opportunities, to enhance and grow the sales management team to progress the organization.
• Strategically build, develop, and motivate the sales organization to create an effective and powerful team.
• Collaborate with Marketing to plan and execute trade show appearances and other advertising/marketing objectives.
• Develop, manage, and nurture new business accounts and partnerships to accomplish profit and volume goals.
• Collaborate with the executive team to develop short- and long-term strategic plans, including the preparation of annual business plans.
• Provide input from sales – including growth, competitive analysis, market trends, and business environment – for strategic planning processes.
• Develop execution strategies and tactics to support strategic plans for large dealer groups in the Ontario region.

What You Will Need:

• University degree in Business or a proven track record / related industry experience.
• 7 – 10 years of direct work experience in a management capacity, leading teams
• Strong experience in all aspects of sales, including growth strategies, account development, and business planning.
• Excellent grasp of brand building and articulation of value propositions.
• A well-defined sense of diplomacy, including solid negotiation, conflict resolution, and people management skills.
• Excellent teamwork and team building skills.
• Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with corporate departments, key business partners, and customers.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and direct sales force.
• Demonstrated knowledge of marketing and advertising theories and practices.
• Strong problem identification and problem resolution skills.
• High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office productivity suite.
• Ability to lead a large sales force.
