Flashee Looking for Business Development & Sales Specialist at Vancouver, BC Full Time

Flashee is a slow fashion social shopping app for small/independent brands and young shoppers. We help connect conscious consumers with slow fashion options and provide a space for people to share the unique story they have with their clothing, and resell that clothing to another in one cohesive experience.

If you have an interest in social media and fashion and you are against fast fashion and/or want to be an advocate for sustainable/ethical fashion, then this is the startup for you!

We have just released the beta version of our app on the Apple app store. We are looking for a passionate business development and sales specialist to help us generate leads, foster relationships with slow fashion brands, and grow our platform where your role and contributions will be crucial to building this slow fashion community on Flashee. You will be working mostly with our Social Media Strategist and cofounders.

Some of what you will be doing:

• Develop a growth strategy for Flashee
• Identify networking opportunities and engage with the community (ex. through social media, local events, contests/giveaways, etc.)
• Find slow fashion brands, content creators & users that fit Flashee’s customer profile
• Help grow Flashee’s slow fashion platform by getting brands and users to join Flashee
• Reach out to content creators for potential partnerships and facilitate the partnership
• Create/film original fashion related TikTok style content
• Write articles/blog posts about slow fashion and Flashee

What you ideally have:

• Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
• Knowledge about fashion and a love for it, especially for slow fashion
• A heavy social media user
• Connections in the fashion space (can be other fashion brands, stores, content creators, models, etc.) a plus
• Experience in creating social media content and/or writing blog posts a plus
• Experience working in a startup environment a plus

This is a 20 hours/week, 100% remote position on a 4-5 month contract. There is also potential for equity for the right candidate.

Please note that this position may be funded by the Innovator Skills Initiative, and the candidate will need to meet the following requirements in order to be eligible:

• be eligible to work in B.C.
• be a recent post-secondary graduate (graduated on or after December 1, 2019) or be a student, including co-op students and international students

Job Type: Part-time
Part-time hours: 20 per week

Salary: From $22.00 per hour
