Job Description
We are looking for an experienced and dynamic leader to support GEI s growing presence across Canada. This high visibility role will be responsible for developing and executing GEI s growth strategies across the country and will require individuals that are well-versed in strategic planning and implementation, marketing, communications, and business development.
Primary Responsibilities:
Engages with regional leadership (VPs, Area/Branch Managers, and others) to develop and execute local and regional strategies to drive growth
Partners with regional and sector-based marketing staff to ensure growth objectives are being met
Provides regular updates to the region and company on strategic planning and implementation efforts
Leads the integration of business and sales processes and programs to drive growth
Manages the strategic wins pipeline across the region and collaborates across the company to identify key resources
In concert with GEI s Director of Communications, develops and implements local marketing and PR plans
Leads the development of capture plans for key pursuits
Supports the regional account management program
Manages local and regional marketing resources
Performs market research and analyses to identify and inform positioning strategies and opportunities
Supports the scheduling and production of the region s pursuit portfolio which will most often contain several proposals with parallel deadlines.
Collaborates with technical proposal managers to conceptualize and develop winning strategies for individual proposals.
Travel to client/prospect/teaming partner/branch offices is required, including overnight travel.
Qualifications
Minimum of 10 years of experience in marketing & proposals in the A/E industry.
BA/BS degree with major/minors in English, History, Marketing, Communications, Business or related field.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Outstanding (a) written and (b) verbal communications skills.
Able to create and deliver high quality presentation materials, and train/coach staff to deliver effective presentations.
Complete understanding of the proposal process and able to lead and work as part of a team.
Excellent customer/partner/client relationship skills.
Able to build and foster long-term relationships with internal teams and external prospects, clients and partners.
Self-motivated – able to work with minimal direction.
Comfortable working with all levels of company leadership and staff.
High level of computer experience with Microsoft office, and Adobe InDesign graphics suite (the companywide standard); experience with databases preferred.
