Are you an articulate, highly-skilled Customer Service Representative with experience in the insurance industry with Call Centre Sales experience and looking for a new career in the insurance industry as a Licensed Advisor? All successful unlicensed applicants will go through 3-4 weeks of paid training and will be writing the Accident and Sickness license exam. Upon successfully passing the licensing exam you will be offered a full-time full-time opportunity as a Customer Service/Insurance Advisor.
If you are a licensed individual (Accident and Sickness license) or have successfully passed the licensing exam your responsibilities will include: Provide quotes/sales on Travel Insurance to potential customers by responding to incoming telephone requests from the sales and backup for IMU queues. Quote and bind customers on Travel Insurance policies over the phone using proper questioning techniques to identify their travel insurance needs, sales techniques and applying all appropriate underwriting guidelines Maintain Call Center Metrics and KPI’s Correspond with internal and external partners or new policyholders as required
· Provide quotes/sales on Travel Insurance to potential customers by responding to incoming telephone requests from the sales and backup for IMU queues.
· Quote and bind customers on Travel Insurance policies over the phone using proper questioning techniques to identify their travel insurance needs, sales techniques and applying all appropriate underwriting guidelines
· Maintain Call Center Metrics and KPI’s
· Correspond with internal and external partners or new policyholders as required
Who you are:
· Travel Insurance and/or Insurance industry experience is required
· A & S Licensed is preferred (Accident and Sickness). If not licensed, we will train.
· Call centre sales experience required.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills: * Advanced English *
· Post-secondary education completion, University degree an asset
· 2-4 years customer service experience, with exposure to call center environment an asset
· Insurance experience is an asset, preferably Travel Medical
· Very good analytical skills and aptitude for problem solving
· Ability to navigate different computer systems
· Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (in particular word and excel)
· Ability to multi-task
· Strong inter-personal skills, empathy, excellent attention to detail, team and customer service oriented.
· Must have 100% attendance for training.
· Must have quiet workspace
· Working remotely – an employee must comply with our telecommuting policies and procedures; have a minimum internet speed of 50 Mbps
· Hours: Monday – Friday 8am to 8pm. One Saturday per month is required, working 9am to 5pm. One would need to be flexible and available to work rotating shifts with the hours of operation (Monday to Friday). Shifts rotate every 8 weeks or so, approximately.
· Must be eligible to work in Canada for any employer, without restrictions
