Our hospitality client, a major player nationally with a growing presence internationally, is looking to hire a Senior Tax Analyst or Tax Manager for their growing organization! Reporting to the VP, Tax, Treasury and Risk, the Senior Tax Analyst / Tax Manager, will be called upon tp navigate and work in two main areas initially: Corporate Tax returns (over 100 entities) and Tax Compliance. At this time there are a number of CRA audits that will require your attention and there is a lot of clean up required ahead of the getting the corporate tax returns done. You will work hand in hand with the VP to get the tax department in order!
The ideal Senior Tax Analyst / Tax Manager will have 4+ years of hands on experience from a Big 8 firm, be CPA designated and have extensive experience with private and public audits. You are naturally curious, ambiguity doesn’t bother / scare you and you are prepared to review and investigate everything (at least initially)! While you know how to put your head down and get the work done, you are not someone who would be considered ‘back office”; you have a voice, you know how to use it and can be tenacious when necessary.
