Arrow Machine and Fabrication Group [AMFG] is growing and seeking an Accountant to join our newly integrated finance team. AMFG is the parent organization of a number of divisions operating in the machining and fabrication space. We are looking for an experienced accounting generalist that can successfully multi-task in this multi-divisional environment and initiate process improvements as we continue to integrate the businesses.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in month-end close activities, including preparation of specific journal entries, comparative accounting schedules, labor and overhead reports, and balance sheet reconciliations;
• Create and manage fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules for all divisions
• Weekly reconciliation of sales and gross margin registers to the general ledger
• Reconcile scrap claims to rebates/refunds
• Monthly reconciliation and analysis of specific expense accounts
• Manage a 13-week rolling forecast of cash disbursements on a weekly basis
• Support Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions during Associate leaves and workload peaks, such as; processing accounts payable invoices with accuracy, applying cash receipts to AR Accounts, and assisting with the collection of overdue AR accounts as necessary
• Evaluate Company’s financial procedures, processes, and policies and make recommendations for improvements as needed

Skills:

• Post-secondary education preferred with emphasis on accounting
• 3 – 5 years of working experience as a general accountant
• Working knowledge of GAAP and basic accounting principles
• Demonstrated knowledge of computerized ERP systems
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, specifically Excel (Intermediate/Advanced), Word, and Outlook
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Self-driven with a focus on independent problem-solving and issue resolution
• Accounting experience in the manufacturing industry is an asset

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $70,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
