As the Human Resources Coordinator, you’ll be at the heart of the HR operations, working closely with the HR Manager. It’s a role that combines the excitement of a fast-paced environment with the fulfillment of making a real impact.
What you’ll do:
HR Operations Excellence: Provide crucial support for day-to-day HR functions and duties, ensuring that everything runs smoothly and efficiently.
Talent Acquisition Pro: Take the lead on the recruitment process, overseeing the Indeed account, screening candidates, scheduling interviews, and conducting reference and background checks.
Recruitment and Onboarding Specialist: Lead full cycle recruitment, with employee onboarding process, conducting orientations, managing employee files, and maintaining HR data with precision.
Employee Relations Expert: Be the go-to resource for employees, answering inquiries and providing guidance in accordance with established processes and policies, while conducting visits to the plant.
Employee Engagement Specialist: Promote employee engagement through innovative programs and ensure effective communication regarding HR-related topics.
Administrative Efficiency: Handle various administrative tasks, including the organization of employee files, training scheduling, and record maintenance.
Performance Management Advocate: Drive the annual performance management processes, ensuring their successful execution.
Adaptability in Industrial Environment: Be able to confidently operate within a plant environment, adhering to safety requirements (wearing safety boots), and effectively communicate with both hourly and salaried personnel.
Your qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field
– Must have extensive knowledge of Canadian laws and regulations
– 2+ years of HR experience in recruitment, preferably in manufacturing
– Demonstrate a strong command of diverse HR functions, including employee orientation, investigation report handling, and plant personnel interactions
– Familiarity with an HRIS system; Workday and Kronos preferred
– Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
– Exceptional multitasking, impeccable attention to detail, and a proactive approach to taking initiative
– Access to a vehicle is mandatory
