Purpose of the job:
To manage all aspects of procurement, sourcing, materials management, warehousing, logistics and inventory. Set strategy, direction, execute
Day-to-day, guide process, systems & data. Develop strong, self-directed teams reduce material and logistics costs while continuously striving to
achieve the highest levels of Customer Service.
Key responsibilities:
Set and execute strategies for all aspects of the supply chain and provide leadership to position the business for future growth. 25%
Develop and implement business processes and leverage systems solutions to improve supply flow and agility while reducing operating costs and improving customer service. 25%
Develop staff through coaching, providing feedback and training. Mentor staff into self-directed teams and foster a culture of no service interruptions, supply stewardship and continuous improvement. 25%
Collect and analyze data to understand baseline, drive decision making, measure improvement and communicate performance. 15%
Establish partnership framework through robust contract management, vendor selection, relationship and performance management processes 10%
Qualifications & Functional Knowledge
Education
Ideally College/University
Relevant experience required (i.e. directly linked to the requirements of the position/role)
10 years
Specialized or cross-functional knowledge / relevant experience required by the position/role
Ideally Operational and Maintenance knowledge/experience
Consulting or Continuous Improvement (CI) experience would be beneficial
Job Classification
Thorough understanding of Supply Chain and strong Customer Service skills.
Analyse supply chain performance looking for areas of improvement and set strategy to optimize processes.
Must be able to lead and obtain employee buy-in for change initiatives and continuous improvement.
Responsible for Supply Chain management of 2 Geographical Locations (Toronto/Whitby) with staff that support five-store/warehouse locations and 12 Outposts.
